UniSoft Imaging can provide complete production scanning applications on customer request. These applications can scan in black/white Tiff G4, grayscale JPEG, color JPEG, and direct to PDF. These scanning applications can optionally create scan list files and support barcode and patch separator sheets.
UniSoft Imaging also supports the Twain Scanning standard. There are some significant problems with some Twain Drivers, but applications can develop sets of tested and supported scanners and cameras.
UniSoft Imaging supports the Minolta MS3000 and MS4000 Microfilm scanner and the Canon 400/500/800 Microfilm scanner.

Some Panasonic scanners, like the KVS-3065, allow for scanning long paper like well logs or heart monitor strips. The UniSoft Imaging software can save the images as separate pages, one long image, or one long image in multiple strips. The UniSoft Imaging Library can also display and print these images. UniSoft Imaging has developed methods for scanning continous sheets up to 300 feet long.
Versions of the UniSoft Imaging Document Imaging Library are available for Vista, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. All functions are callable from C, C++, Visual Basic, and many other environments.
Using very simple function calls, application developers can create complete document imaging applications. Since all the provided software is in the DLL, the decompression, scaling, rotation, and display of images is very fast. This is a full feature library that provides all the document image functions available from UniSoft Imaging.
The library is written in ANSI C and is very portable. On certain operating systems, key routines have been taken to assembler for speed (compiler switch to use C code). UniSoft Imaging Library users have ported the library to new operating systems and/or computer systems in less than four hours.

PCL4 and PCL5 (Hewlett Packard Print Control Language) is supported. PCL4 and PCL5 add enhanced printing to directly cabled printers and/or adds support for network print utilities. The UniSoft Document Imaging Library can drive many printers at near the printer's specified maximum print speed. This same interface can be used for merging text, images, vector, and barcodes together and printing this composite page or storing back as a new TIFF or JPEG image.
N to M scaling supported for various document types.
Images can be rotated 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees.
PDF Conversion
JPEG and Tiff Group 4 Images can be converted into PDF files. Optionally, a table of contents can be added to the PDF generated files.
Over 400 pages of documentation exist in Microsoft Word format. The documentation discusses how to use the different features of the UniSoft Imaging Library, how to compile the UniSoft Imaging Library, and how to install the library.
UniSoft Imaging has experienced C and assembler consultants who are familiar with the UniSoft Imaging Library. If you need help getting started or have problems that cannot be easily solved, call for information about our Technical Consulting.
UniSoft Imaging supports its customers. Most of our customers come by way of recommendations from others in the imaging industry. If we cannot help you with your applications, we will attempt to match you with other consultants or advise you where to look for a better solution.
The cost for the UniSoft Imaging Library is $3500.00 which includes the first 25 copies of any application that contains the library. The 26th to 1000th copy cost $25.00 per copy, the 1001st to 2000th copy cost $10.00 per copy, and the 2001st and subsequent copy cost $1.00 per copy. This includes one year of free maintenance and technical support. All money is in U.S. dollars.
Additional years of maintenance and technical support can be purchased for $500.00 for companies with 500 or less workstations deployed and $1.00 more for each workstation after 500. The maximum yearly fee for maintenance and technical support is $5000.00.
Other pricing schedules are available and UniSoft Imaging will work with customers to create other pricing schedules. Royalty free licenses per application and site licenses are available in some cases. Price reductions available for customers buying more than one library.
